Our Services
24 Hour Service
Our personal service means you can plan a funeral from the comfort of your own home on the telephone or call to our home in Glasbolie, Ballintra or we can visit your home.
Burials & Cremations
We discuss the choice of burial and cremation. We oversee grave opening in the case of burial. We complete all necessary paperwork and formality required for cremation.
Embalming
We are qualified in embalming since 1998, and ensure the preparation of the body as per the family’s wishes.
Religious & Civil Ceremonies
We liase with and confirm all details with the clergy, churches, cemeteries, crematoria as required. In all cases, we will arrange for a suitable celebrant, who can facilitate, guide and assist with the preferred ceremony and also advise on suitable locations.
Death Notices
Spreading the word of a death across multiple platforms will allow wider circles of your community to learn about an individual’s passing and provide support.
We assist in preparing and inserting death notices for publication and announcements, as per the family’s wishes via the following platforms;
- RIP.ie
- Local Radio
- Provincial/Local Newspapers
Repatriation Services
We understand the pain and complications which a death in a foreign country can cause for grieving families and friends. It is our aim to personally collect or deliver from anywhere in the U.K. to anywhere in Ireland, to ensure the deceased is returned to their loved ones within 3-5 days.We also liase with international funeral services; relevant embassies, coroners and airlines / shipping agents to repatriate worldwide.
Floral Tributes
We can arrange a selection of flowers for your ceremony. This includes fresh flowers and silk-based flowers.
Supply of Funeral Music
We assist with music and hymn selection for the funeral ceremony on behalf of family.
Prepaid Funerals / Payment Options
Planning your own funeral with Jackie Carron Funeral Directors allows clients to ensure all their specific wishes are tailored to their requirements. Prepaid funerals can also ease the burden of financial stress and worry and bring peace of mind for grieving loved ones. Advanced funeral planning can be paid in one lump sum or in installments as agreed. For further enquiries, contact Jackie or Tara at a time that suits you.
Transportation
We provide all transportation involved in the entire funeral process, to include hearse hire, modern and vintage, and the use of a discretionary removal ambulance. We have access to alternative means of transportation, i.e. horse drawn hearse hire and motorcycle hearse hire, available upon request.
Coffin Supplies
We will assist and advise you with the selection of an appropriate coffin for your loved one or friend. We and have an extensive range of high-quality coffins available in light or dark colours, using traditional or environmentally friendly materials such as wicker coffins, as well as caskets all located on our premises which can be viewed at a time to suit the family.
